瑕疵（上夏加反毛詩傳曰瑕猶過也廣雅瑕亦穢也說文從玉叚聲下自茲反孔注尚書云疵病也劉瓛言蹇反注周易云疵瑕也說文亦病也從疒女格反此聲也）。

瑕疵, [flaw and blemish] (the upper character is xià + jiā fanqie. The Mao Commentary on the Book of Odes says: "Xiá (瑕) is like a fault." The Guangya says: "Xiá also means foul." The Shuowen jiezi says: "It is classified under the jade radical (玉), with jiǎ (叚) phonetic." The lower character is zì + zī fanqie. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: "Cī (疵) means a sickness." Liu Huan (yán + jiǎn fanqie) notes on the Zhouyi: "Cī means a flaw." The Shuowen jiezi says: "It also means a sickness; it is classified under the sickness radical (疒, nǚ + gé fanqie), with cǐ (此) phonetic").
