禱祠（上刀老反下似慈反鄭注周禮云求福當請福之詞得福曰祠說文並從示示音祇壽司聲也）。

Prayers and sacrifices [禱祠]: the first [character is pronounced with the fanqie] dao-lao (刀老反); the second is [pronounced with the fanqie] si-ci (似慈反). Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Zhouli states: 'When seeking blessings, it refers to words requesting blessings; when blessings are obtained, it is called cí (祠).' The Shuowen [jiezi] states that both are formed from [the semantic component] shì (示; shì has the sound qi) with shòu (壽) and sī (司) as the respective phonetic components.
