黿鼉（上阮援反說文黿大鼈也從黽元聲下大河反郭璞注山海經云鼉似蜥蜴長丈餘有鱗皮可以為鼓也說文水蟲也從黽𠹈省聲𠹈音那也）。

Giant softshell turtle and alligator (黿鼉: the first character has the fanqie [ruan] + [yuan]. The Shuowen says: '黿 [yuán] is a large softshell turtle; it derives from 黽 [frog] with 元 [yuán] phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie [da] + [he]. Guo Pu's commentary on the Shanhai jing says: 'The 鼉 [tuó] resembles a lizard, over ten feet long, with scaled skin that can be made into drums.' The Shuowen says: 'An aquatic creature; it derives from 黽 [frog] with 𠹈 [tuó] abbreviated phonetic; 𠹈 is pronounced [na].').
