諛讇（上庸朱反說文諛亦諂也從言臾聲經作此諭是曉諭字也與經義乖也下丑冉反何注公羊傳讇佞也從言閻聲或經作此諂俗字也）。

諛讇 (The first character has the fanqie 庸 plus 朱. The Shuowen jiezi says: "Yu also means to flatter; it is formed from the radical 言 and the phonetic 臾." The sūtra writing it as this 諭 is the character for instruct (yù), which contradicts the meaning of the sūtra. The second character has the fanqie 丑 plus 冉. He [Xiu's] commentary on the Gongyang zhuan says: "Zhan means sycophantic; it is formed from the radical 言 and the phonetic 閻." Some sūtras write it as this 諂, which is a vulgar character).
