溝巷（胡絳反謂須陀洹人也此言入流或言至流今言溝巷者取其流水處也經文作港古項反字略云水分流也即經中云分布果是其義也）。

Waterway and channel (溝巷): [巷 is] fanqie 胡絳 (xiàng), referring to a srotāpanna (stream-enterer). This is translated as 'entering the stream' or 'reaching the stream'; calling it 'waterways and channels' takes the sense of places where water flows. The sūtra text has 港 (gǎng, fanqie 古項). The Zilüe states: "A diversion of water"; this matches what the sūtra refers to as 'distributing the fruits [of the path]'.
