河潬（他單反爾雅云水中沙出也郭璞曰今江南呼水中沙垖為潬古今正字水中處曰潬形聲字或作灘俗字之者）。

River sandbank (河潬: fanqie [tā dān] (ta-dan / tān); the Erya says sand emerging amidst water; Guo Pu says that in present-day Jiangnan, sand mounds amidst water are called tān; the Gujin zhengzi says sand within water is called tān, a phono-semantic character; sometimes written 灘, which is a popular variant).
