蘭香𰱬（霜交反正體作梢從木肖聲此即如來譬喻說也凡蘭香花出時梢頭花子分為七分罪人善神砕其頭破作七分如彼蘭香梢頭古譯云阿梨樹枝者謬也本無阿梨樹）。

Basil branch-tip (蘭香𰱬) (the second character is *shuang-jiao* fan; the orthodox form is 梢, taking the wood radical and the *xiao* (肖) sound; this is the Tathāgata's metaphorical teaching: generally, when the basil flower comes forth, the flower seed at the tip of the twig splits into seven parts; when a sinner's head is smashed by virtuous spirits, it splits into seven parts like the tip of that basil twig; ancient translations that say 'branch of the *a-li* tree' are erroneous; there originally is no *a-li* tree).
