禽獸（上及林反鳥之摠名也見韻集下守呪反桂苑珠䕺云野畜之摠名也案禽獸者兩足有羽能飛曰禽四足有毛野走曰獸經文作𤢌狩非也）。

禽獸 (birds and beasts; the upper [character] has the fanqie ji + lin [qín]; a general term for birds, seen in the Yunji; the lower [character] has the fanqie shou + zhou [shòu]; the Guiyuan zhucun says: "A general term for wild beasts"; according to examination, regarding 'birds and beasts': those with two feet and feathers capable of flying are called qín; those with four feet and fur running in the wild are called shòu; written in the sūtra text as 𤢌狩 is incorrect).
