眵涕（上叱之反韻詮云目中眵也集訓云目汁凝結也說文瞢兜也目傷眥也從目從侈省聲也侈音齒眥音接兜音斗俟反）。

眵涕: The first character has the fanqie chi + zhi (chī). The *Yunquan* says: 'The discharge in the eye.' The *Jixun* says: 'The coagulated fluid of the eyes.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Veiled and dim; an injured eye corner. Composed of the 'eye' (目) semantic and an abbreviated chi (侈) phonetic.' Chi has the pronunciation chi; zi (canthus) has the pronunciation jie; dou has the fanqie dou + si.
