摒儅（上并娉反去聲字也廣雅云摒除也古今正字從手屏聲亦作拼下當浪反字鏡云儅者不中儅也今摒除之文字典說從人當聲經從手作擋非也）。

摒儅 (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 并 + 娉 [bìng], a departing-tone character. The Guangya says: "Bìng means to clear away." The Gujin zhengzi has it formed with the radical 手 and 屏 as phonetic; it is also written 拼. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 當 + 浪 [dàng]. The Zijing says: "Dàng means not hitting the mark [unsuitable]. Now it means to clear away." The Wenzidian shuo has it formed with the radical 人 and 當 as phonetic. The scripture writes it with the radical 手 as 擋, which is incorrect).
