沮壞（上情與反左傳云沮亦壞也說文從水且聲經文從半肉作俎非也下懷恠反考聲云崩摧也敗也古今正字自破曰壞從土褱聲褱字說文從衣從𥄳𥄳音談合上從橫目）。

Ruin and collapse (沮壞) (The upper character is qing + yu fan. The Zuo zhuan states: "沮 also means to be ruined." The Shuowen states: "Composed with 'water' [水] semantic and 且 phonetic." In the scripture text it is written with 'half meat' [i.e., meat radical] as 俎, which is erroneous. The lower character is huai + guai fan. The Kaosheng states: "To crumble and collapse; to be defeated." The Gujin zhengzi states: "To break of itself is called 壞. Composed with 'earth' [土] semantic and 褱 phonetic. Regarding the character 褱, the Shuowen says: 'Composed with 衣 semantic and 𥄳 semantic; 𥄳 is pronounced tan + he fan, composed of horizontal eyes on top'").
