赫弈（上呀格反廣雅赫赫明也詩傳云顯盛皃說文大赤也從二赤說文赤字南方火色也從大從火今隸書作赤變體字也經文從草從赤作䓇不成字也呀音赫加反下音亦赫赫弈弈光盛之皃也從廾亦聲廾音拱）。

赫弈: The first character has the fanqie [y]ā + [g]é. The Guangya says: "赫赫 means bright." The commentary on the Classic of Poetry says: "An appearance of splendor and prominence." The Shuowen [jiezi] says: "Very red; composed of two 'red' (赤) characters." The Shuowen [jiezi] states that the character 赤 represents the color of fire in the south, composed of 大 and 火. In current clerical script it is written as 赤, which is a variant form. In the scripture text it is written with the grass radical over 赤 as 䓇, which does not form a proper character. The character 呀 has the fanqie [h]è + [j]iā. The second character has the pronunciation of 亦. 赫赫弈弈 describes a blazing, splendid appearance; composed of 廾 with 亦 phonetic. The pronunciation of 廾 is 拱.
