厓底（上頟佳反郭注爾雅云厓謂之水邊也廣雅方也說文從厂圭聲下低禮反杜注左傳云底亾也淮南子云上窮至高之木下測至深之底說文止居一云下也從广氐聲經作㾏𢆰並非也）。

厓底 (The upper character is é jiā fan [yái]; Guo's commentary to the Erya says: "Yái refers to the waterside." The Guangya: "Fāng [boundary/bank]." The Shuowen: "Composed of 厂 with 圭 phonetic." The lower character is dī lǐ fan [dǐ]; Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan says: "Dǐ means to come to an end." The Huainanzi says: "Reaching up to the topmost trees, plumbing down to the deepest bottoms." The Shuowen: "To dwell and halt; another says: the bottom. Composed of 广 with 氐 phonetic." The sūtra writing it as 㾏 or 𢆰 are both incorrect).
