任持（入針反鄭注禮記任也任音入甚反也用也考聲云任堪也廣雅任使也說文保也從人壬聲）。

任持 [upholding] (The first character has the fanqie [入+針] rèn. Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: rèn means trusted; the character rèn has the fanqie [入+甚] rèn; it also means employed. The Kaosheng says: rèn means capable of bearing. The Guangya says: rèn means employed. The Shuowen says: to guarantee; it is composed of 'person' with rén phonetic).
