讚勵（上臧旦反方言讚美也郭璞曰頌美其德也釋名云讚所以解釋物理也下力滯反桂菀珠藂云勵免也左傳勸也蓋形聲字）。

讚勵 [praising and encouraging] (The first character has the fanqie [臧+旦] zàn. The Fangyan says: zàn means to extol. Guo Pu says: eulogizing the beauty of virtue. The Shiming says: zàn is that by which the principles of things are explained. The second character has the fanqie [力+滯] lì. The Guiyuan zhucun says: lì means to strive. The Zuo zhuan says: to urge. It is presumably a phono-semantic character).
