泛漾（上芳梵反字書泛浮也經作汎俗字汎暜也非經義下陽亮反或作瀁皆義別正體合作颺案汎漾者浮遊自在之義漾者水波也義雖似同乖經本意宜改作颺也）。

泛漾 (Drifting and swaying: The upper character has the fanqie 芳梵 [fàn]. The Zishu says: "泛 means to float." The sūtra writes 汎, which is a vulgar character. 汎 means 'universal', which is not the sūtra's meaning. The lower character has the fanqie 陽亮 [yàng]. It is also written as 瀁, each having distinct meanings; the proper standard form should be 颺. Considering the compound 汎漾, it conveys the sense of roaming afloat with ease; 漾 refers to ripples of water. Although the meanings seem similar, it diverges from the original intent of the sūtra, and it would be better emended to 颺).
