塗拭（舒力反鄭注儀禮云拭清也郭璞云拭所以為清潔也古今正字從手式聲亦作飾）。

To smear and wipe clean (塗拭; the second character has the fanqie 舒 + 力. Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Yili states: 'Shì means to wipe clean.' Guo Pu says: 'Shì is that by which things are made clean.' The Gujin zhengzi states: It is formed with the 'hand' radical [手] and takes shì [式] as its phonetic element; it is also written as 飾).
