Cut off (割𢧵: the first character is pronounced 葛 [gē]. The second character is pronounced 前節 [jié]. The Mao Commentary to the Shijing says: "Jié [𢧵] means to govern." Zheng's commentary says: "Jié means neat and orderly." The Shuowen says: "Jié means to sever." It has the dagger-axe radical [戈] and què [雀] as phonetic. The scripture text writes it with 𢦏 as 截, which is an error).
