𨪂火（上音遂亦作鐆杜注左傳云鐩取火者也淮南子云陽鐆見日則煥而為火許叔重注云墜五石之銅精圓以仰曰則得火考聲云今之火𦫿承之便得火也說文云從金隊聲亦作煫經文作燧俗字也）。

𨪂火 (the first character is pronounced 遂, and is also written 鐆; Du’s commentary to the Zuo zhuan says: “The 鐩 is an instrument for obtaining fire”; the Huainanzi says: “When the solar mirror meets the sun, it flares up and becomes fire”; Xu Shuzhong’s commentary says: “Bronze essence cast round and pointed up to the sun to obtain fire”; the Kaosheng says: “Receiving it with today’s tinder will immediately produce fire”; the Shuowen says: “It is derived from [the semantic component] 金 (metal) and has 隊 as its phonetic component”; it is also written 煫; the sūtra text has 燧, which is a vulgar character).
