覰眄（上蛆慮反廣雅云覰視也顧野王云謂相候視也說文云從目虘聲或為[尸@(尸@且)]亦作狙下眠遍反說文云目偏合也一曰邪視也從目丐聲虘音才何反丐音沔）。

Spying and squinting (覰眄, the first character is pronounced q[ū]-l[ù] fan; the Guangya says: "覰 [qù] means to look." Gu Yewang says: "It means watching and waiting." The Shuowen says: "Formed with the 'eye' radical and the phonetic component 虘 [zū]; alternatively written with 尸 over 尸 over 且; also written as 狙." The second character is pronounced m[ián]-b[iàn] fan; the Shuowen says: "Eyes half-closed; another explanation is looking sideways; formed with the 'eye' radical and the phonetic component 丐 [miǎn]"; 虘 is pronounced c[ái]-h[é] fan, and 丐 is pronounced miǎn).
