瘢痕（上伴般反說文云瘢痍也下恨恩反說文云痕瘢也二字並從疒般艮皆聲經文作盤誤也痍音以之反）。

Scars (瘢痕, the first character is pronounced b[àn]-b[ān] fan; the Shuowen says: "瘢 means an injury"; the second is pronounced h[èn]-ē[n] fan; the Shuowen says: "痕 means a scar"; both characters are formed with the "sickness" radical and the phonetic components 般 and 艮; written in the sūtra text as 盤, which is an error; 痍 is pronounced y[ǐ]-zh[ī] fan).
