纖利（上息簷反孔注尚書云纖細也說文從糸韱聲案經爪甲纖利合從金作銛）。

纖利 (The first character has the fanqie 息簷. Kong's commentary on the *Book of Documents* says: "Xiān (纖) means fine or slender (細)." The *Shuowen jiezi* says: "It derives from 'silk' (糸) with 韱 as the phonetic." Examining the sūtra text, 'finger-claws being xiān-sharp' should properly be written with 'metal' (金) as xiān [銛, sharp]).
