啄噉（上音豕廣雅啄嚙也說文鳥喰也從口豕聲豕丑緣反經從彖作喙吁穢反非也下唐濫反）。

啄噉 "Peck and devour" (The first character is pronounced shi [zhuo]. The Guangya says: "啄 means to bite/gnaw." The Shuowen jiezi says: "A bird eating; formed from 口 'mouth' with 豕 as phonetic." 豕 is pronounced chou-yuan. The scripture follows 彖 to write 喙, pronounced xu-hui, which is incorrect. The second character is pronounced tang-lan [dan]).
