椎打 "Beat with a mallet" (Pronounced zhi-zhui [chui]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "To strike." The scripture follows 追 to make 槌, which is incorrect; that is pronounced zhui, the post of a silkworm frame; the scripture text does not have this meaning. This is likely because the scribes taking dictation were ill-informed and did not recognize the characters. The character 打 is formed from 扌 'hand').
