令瞽（上力呈反下姑五反鄭注周禮云無目謂之矇有目謂之曰瞽說文云目但有眣如鼓皮曰瞽從目鼓聲）。

To cause blindness (令瞽: the first [character] is *l(ik)* + *dr(eng)* in fanqie; the second is *k(u)* + *ng(u)* in fanqie. Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Zhouli says: 'Lacking eyeballs is called 矇; having eyeballs [without sight] is called 瞽.' The Shuowen says: 'The eyes having only pupils resembling drumskin is called 瞽; derived from 目 with 鼓 phonetic.')
