捐棄（上悅玄反考聲云捐棄也說文闕此字俗用作捐從手下輕異反說文棄捐也從廾推枼而棄之從云云逆子也倒書子字會意字云音土骨反葉音鉢案反廾音拱推音土雷反或作弃古字也）。

Cast aside (捐棄: the upper [character has the fanqie] 悅玄反. The Kaosheng says: '捐 means to cast aside (棄).' The Shuowen lacks this character; popularly it is used as 捐, composed of 手. The lower [character has the fanqie] 輕異反. The Shuowen [says]: '棄 means to abandon (捐).' Composed of 廾 pushing away 枼 to abandon it, and composed of [云 with 𠫓], meaning an unruly child, written with the character 子 inverted; it is an associative compound. 云 is pronounced 土骨反; 枼 is pronounced 鉢案反; 廾 is pronounced 拱; 推 is pronounced 土雷反. It is also written as 弃, which is an ancient form).
