[刀/田/火]鼈（鞭滅反說文水介蟲也從黽敝聲也經從魚作鱉俗字也黽音猛敝音毗袂反）。
Freshwater softshell turtles (鼈: fanqie biān-miè. The Shuowen jiezi says: "An aquatic shelled creature; composed of the toad radical (黽) with bì (敝) phonetic." In the sūtra text, writing it with the fish radical as 鱉 is a vulgar character. Miǎn (黽) is pronounced měng; bì (敝) is fanqie pí-mèi).
