鳳凰（上馮諷反下音皇前寶積經及般若經音義已具釋說文神鳥也仁瑞也從鳥從皇並從几几亦聲也）。

Phoenixes (鳳凰: for the first character, fanqie féng-fèng; the second is pronounced huáng. Already explained in detail in the Sounds and Meanings of the Ratnakūṭa and Prajñā sūtras. The Shuowen jiezi says: "A divine bird, an auspicious omen of benevolence; composed of bird (鳥) and huáng (皇), both also taking jī (几); jī is also phonetic").
