庳牀（上皮美反鄭注周禮云庳猶短也顧野王云庳猶卑也說文從广卑聲广音儼下正體床字）。
庳牀 (The upper [character] has the fanqie 皮 + 美. Zheng's commentary on the Zhouli says: '庳 is like short/low.' Gu Yewang says: '庳 is like humble/low.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Composed of 广 with 卑 as phonetic component.' 广 is pronounced 儼. The lower [character] is the standard form of the character 床).
