繽紛（上匹賓反下孚文反廣雅云繽繽眾也紛紛亂也王逸注楚辭云繽紛盛皃也說文二字竝從糸賓分聲）。

繽紛 (The upper [character] has the fanqie 匹 + 賓; the lower has the fanqie 孚 + 文. The Guangya says: '繽繽 means numerous; 紛紛 means chaotic.' Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: '繽紛 describes an abundant appearance.' The Shuowen jiezi says that both characters are composed with the 糸 radical, with 賓 and 分 respectively as phonetic components).
