Heroic and resolute (雄毅) (fanqie: 冝既反. The Zuo zhuan says: “Carrying out one's resolve with firmness constitutes resoluteness; resoluteness means being awe-inspiring and inviolable.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “Reckless fury; one authority says it means having decisiveness. It takes 殳 as its semantic component and 豙 as its phonetic component.” 豙 has the same pronunciation as above).
