磔手（上知挌反廣雅云磔張也開也案一磔手者開掌布地以頭指中指為量也說文從石桀聲亦作㡯經本作搩者非也）。

Span of a hand (磔: upper syllable *tś-*, *tśi* + *kek* fanqie; the Guangya says: '磔 means to stretch out, to open.' Investigating 'one hand-span' (*yi zheshou*): spreading the palm on the ground, measured by the distance between the index finger and middle finger. The Shuowen says: 'Takes the stone radical and *jie* phonetic'; also written as 㡯; originally written in the sūtra text as 搩, which is incorrect).
