掝眥（呼麥反掝裂也下靜計反目頭曰眥淮南子云瞋目裂眥是也經文從首作馘古獲反生獲斷耳曰馘馘非此義）。

掝眥 (the upper has the fanqie 呼麥 [h(ū) + m(ài)]; 掝 means to split open. The lower has the fanqie 靜計 [j(ìng) + j(ì)]; the corner of the eye is called 眥. The Huainanzi states: 'glaring eyes and torn corners (裂眥)'—this is it. The sūtra text writes it with the head radical as 馘, with the fanqie 古獲 [g(ǔ) + h(uò)]; capturing alive and cutting off ears is called 馘, but 馘 does not have this meaning).
