嫡嫡（丁狄反字書嫡正也公羊傳曰立嫡以長者何嫡敵也謂夫人之子尊無與𰚇也）。

嫡嫡 (嫡 has the fanqie 丁狄 [d(īng) + d(í)]. The Zishu states: 嫡 means the principal or legitimate one. The Gongyang zhuan states: 'Why is the principal heir established by seniority? 嫡 means peer (敵)'; that is, the son of the principal wife has an exalted status unmatched by any other).
