童真（是沙彌別名式叉此言學亦云隨順無違梵言究磨囉浮多究磨羅者是彼土八歲以上未冠者童子總名也浮多此云真亦言實也）。

童真 (this is an alternative title for a novice [śrāmaṇera]; śikṣā here means 'study', and also 'compliance without defiance'. In Sanskrit it is *kumārabhūta*: *kumāra* is a general name in that land for youths from eight years old and above who have not yet reached the capping ceremony; *bhūta* here means 'true' or 'real').
