疇匹（上直留反孔注尚書疇類也張注漢書云疇等也王注楚辝云二人為匹四人為疇古今正字從田壽聲下繽必反考聲匹偶也說文從匸八聲匸音下第反）。

疇匹 [Peers and equals] (The first character has the fanqie: 直 + 留. Kong Anguo's commentary on the Classic of Documents says: “疇 means peers.” Zhang's commentary on the Book of Han says: “疇 means equals.” Wang Yi's commentary on the Songs of Chu says: “Two people make a pǐ; four people make a chóu.” The Gujin zhengzi says: “Classified under the radical 田 with the phonetic 壽.” The second character has the fanqie: 繽 + 必. The Kaosheng says: “匹 means a counterpart.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “Classified under the radical 匸 with the phonetic 八.” 匸 has the fanqie: 下 + 第).
