箭䠶（上煎賤反方言云自關而西謂之箭郭注云三鐮今筩䠶箭也平題今戲䠶箭也從竹前聲下時益反說文以弓弩發於身而中於遠也從身從矢）。

箭䠶 ('arrow and shooting': the upper character has the fanqie 煎賤 [jiàn]. The Fangyan says: 'From the Pass westward, it is called jian (arrow).' Guo [Pu's] commentary says: 'The three-bladed one is today's cylindrical arrow for shooting; the flat-headed one is today's arrow for practice shooting.' Derived from 竹 [bamboo] with 前 as phonetic. The lower character has the fanqie 時益 [shí/shè]. The Shuowen says: 'Discharging [an arrow] from one's person using a bow or crossbow to hit at a distance.' Derived from 身 [body] and 矢 [arrow]).
