貪餮 ('gluttonous': the fanqie is 天趺 [tiè]. Du [Yu's] commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: 'Coveting food is called can [gluttony].' The Shuowen says: 'Derived from 食 [food] with 殄 as phonetic.' 殄 is pronounced 殿 [diàn]).
