作繭（堅顯反禮記云世婦平蠶奉繭以于君說文蠶衣也從糸從虫從芇音眠芇者象蛾兩角相當也）。

作繭 ('spin a cocoon': the fanqie is 堅顯 [jiǎn]. The Liji says: 'The secondary wives manage the silkworms and present the cocoons to the ruler.' The Shuowen says: 'The garment of the silkworm; derived from 糸 [silk], 虫 [worm], and 芇, which is pronounced 眠 [mián]. 芇 resembles the two matching antennae of a moth').
