𠧒匃（垓艾反考聲云求也顧野王云匃乞也說文亦乞也人亡財則乞匃故從人從亾經文作丐非也）。

Beg and entreat (𠧒匃: gāi + ài [gài]. The Kaosheng says: "To seek." Gu Yewang says: "Gài means to beg." The Shuowen also says: "To beg." When a person lacks property, they beg, hence it is formed with rén 人 ("person") and wáng 亾 ("destitute"). The sūtra text writes 丐, which is incorrect).
