豪傑（古文𠢕同胡高反下奇哲反淮南子云智出百人謂之豪千人謂之傑案豪猶俊也大戴禮云豪師也傑特立也英傑也亦才能也論文作桀雞拪於杙為桀非此義）。

Heroes and stalwarts (豪傑: ancient script is 𠢕; hu and gao fan; the second character is qi and zhe fan; the Huainanzi says: 'One whose wisdom surpasses a hundred men is called a hao; one who surpasses a thousand is called a jie'; considering this, hao is like an outstanding person; the Da Dai Liji says: 'Hao means a leader; jie means someone standing out prominently'; an eminent and outstanding person; it also means talent and ability; the Treatise writes 桀, but a chicken roosting on a stake is called a 桀, which is not this meaning).
