宗族（子同反所承也字林宗尊也亦主也廣雅宗本也楚辝同姓曰宗族叢祿反族類也周禮四閭為族鄭玄曰百家也）。

Patriarchal clan (宗族: [for 宗], zi and tong fan; that which is inherited; the Zilin says: 'Zong means revered, also head'; the Guangya says: 'Zong means root/origin'; the Chuci says: 'Those of the same surname are called zong'; [for 族], cong and lu fan; zu means lineage or category; the Rites of Zhou says: 'Four lü make a zu', Zheng Xuan says: 'One hundred families').
