煜爚（由掏反弋灼反說文煜光耀也爚火光也廣雅煜熾也埤蒼煜盛皃也論文作昱曰明也爍式灼反字與鑠同銷鑠也並非此義也）。

Blazing and glittering (煜爚: [for 煜], you and tao fan; [for 爚], yi and zhuo fan; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'Yu means radiant brilliance; yue means firelight'; the Guangya says: 'Yu means blazing'; the Picang says: 'Yu is the appearance of abundant brightness'; the Treatise writes 昱, meaning bright; and 爍, shi and zhuo fan, same as 鑠, meaning to melt; neither has this meaning).
