磔牛（古文尼同知格反廣雅磔張也磔開也說文磔辜也尒雅祭風曰磔孫炎曰既祭披磔其性以風散也論文作挓未見所出也）。

Zhezhu 磔牛 (the ancient script is the same as 尼, [pronounced with the] fanqie 知格 [zhī + gé/*ʈak/zhé]. The Guangya says: 'Zhe 磔 means to stretch out; zhe 磔 means to tear open.' The Shuowen says: 'Zhe 磔 means dismembering a sacrificial victim.' The Erya says: 'Sacrificing to the wind is called zhe 磔.' Sun Yan says: 'After the sacrifice, one rips and dismembers the victim's nature so that it scatters with the wind.' In the treatise text it is written as 挓; where that comes from has not yet been seen).
