鑽燧（又作墜同辝醉反火母也謂取火者也論語鑽燧改火孔安國曰一年之中鑽燧各異木也世本造火者燧人也因以為名也）。

鑽燧 [fire-drill] (also written as 墜; the same; [pronounced with the] fanqie 辝醉 [suì]; the mother of fire, meaning that by which fire is extracted; the Lunyu says: 'Drilling the fire-drills to renew the fire'; Kong Anguo says: 'In the course of a single year, drilling the fire-drills uses different woods'; the Shiben says: 'The one who created fire was Suiren, and he was named after it').
