偃蹇（巨偃居免二反廣雅偃蹇夭橋也謂自高大也釋名偃息而臥不執事也蹇跛蹇也病不能作事今託似此也）。

偃蹇 [haughty / arrogant] ([pronounced with the] two fanqie 巨偃 [yǎn] and 居免 [jiǎn]; the Guangya says: '偃蹇 means proud and loftily curved', meaning regarding oneself as high and great; the Shiming says: '偃 means resting and lying down, not attending to duties; 蹇 means lame; being ill and unable to perform duties now pretends to be like this').
