猶豫（戈又弋周二反案說文隴西謂犬子曰猶猶性多預在人前故凡不決者謂之猶預也又尒雅猶如麂善登木郭璞曰健上樹也某氏曰上木如鳥也）。

Hesitating [猶豫] (fanqie: 戈又 [yòu] and 弋周 [yù]; in our note, the Shuowen says: "In Longxi, a dog pup is called 猶; by nature a 猶 is constantly wary ahead of humans, hence all who are irresolute are said to be 猶豫." Furthermore, the Erya says: "The 猶 is like a muntjac, good at climbing trees." Guo Pu says: "Robust at climbing trees." A certain scholar says: "It climbs trees like a bird").
