見杌 (seeing a bare tree trunk / stump; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 五 and 骨 [=wù], a popular character. The Tongsuwen says: 'An object without a head is called 尤.' The Jixun says: 'A tree without branches is called 杌; it takes 木 as semantic component.' The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 兀, saying: 'High and flat on top; one line above a person').
