謇歰（古文作[言*寒]謇二形今作蹇同𩚑展反方言謇吃也楚人語也謇難也下所立反說文歰不滑也字從四止四止則不通字意也）。

Stuttering and halting (jianse; ancient characters are [言*寒] and 謇, now written 蹇; fanqie: 𩚑 + 展 [j- + -an → jian]; the Fangyan states: jian means stammering, speech of the people of Chu; jian means difficult; the second character: fanqie: 所 + 立 [sh- + -ip → se]; the Shuowen jiezi states: se means not smooth; the character is formed from four 'stops' [zhi], four stops meaning obstructed, which gives the sense of the character).
