喬荅摩（梵言此有三義一云曰種二言牛糞種三埿土種以瞿名目九義故也舊言瞿云因緣具如經說也）。

Gautama (in Sanskrit; this has three meanings: one is "descendant of the sun," the second is "descendant of cow dung," and the third is "descendant of mud and earth," because the name *gau refers to nine meanings; the older interpretation that *gau means "causes and conditions" is detailed as explained in the sūtra).
